Aloha.. RestnRileks is Back

I know, it has been a while. Feels like ages though. But , I am glad now that RestnRileks will be at its usual self again.

Sorry, been tied to some works lately and still am.

Currently, I am doing illos for a Rattan Book - Motifs and Techniques (The Book will be in Bahasa Malaysia). There are few people working on it, so, at the end, the book will have different style of illos. Check out the examples below. Since there is no rattan craft book in Bahasa Malaysia (in fact, it is hard to find books on Malaysia Crafts especially in BM), so we thought of documenting all those basic processes and make it as a book. I myself, have to rely on international books and wisdom of those 10-25 years of experiences. It will be a good book as a reference to beginners and those who wish to use it as a reference (Rattan Craft). Main Obstacle is, we need to draw back all the weaving and jointing methods which is time consuming. At the moment, there are hundreds of drawings done, and few more to go. Drawings aren't like those pro illustrators since budget is a bit tight. Hence, we rely on our own rattan staffs including me. hehe.

In addition, i am trying to keep up with other few datelines too - another mini coffee book for Rnd and preparing for IKN Convo Day. So, that's why i ve been keeping quite low these last few days. : )

RestnRileks too has been busy enjoying his new pressies and still looking for another pressies.

Speaking of Pressies, here is one - Part as my belated birthday celebration. Haha. RestnRileks itself.

RestnRileks spots a new layout, which i believe is about time too. Something to commemorate my months of blogging. Ha-ha. Oh Rizal you are so full of it. :P The idea was already there, but it really hit me after seeing ECL's blog, tweaked by a cool blogger known as LJ - Lady Java. It was during the crazy month of October - Commenting Fest at GP (Pink is for you since you love so much Pink, hihi )- i came across LJ mentioning about her, tweaking ECL's blog. So, in the spur of moment, i just contacted LJ via Twitter (Love that tweet tweet thing) and Whalla! Ba da bing Da Bomb! Here it is. Oh! The Navigation tabs aren't fully functional yet. I still need to figure it out what goes in there. : )

Frankly, LJ did some amazing job - CS (Customer Services) - Fast and Effective (sounds like Panadol Active Fast) - Yeah Maybe it is true if you really want a fast and effective new layout for your blog. I was emailing her the specs and colour for my theme, and replies were swift. The best part was that, the whole processes were easy (i thought that it would take few days). It was fun seeing all the changes made quickly as i asked some alterations to be made. It s like, "okay, okay..change this, yes.. yes..love it.. awesome.. opss back.. could you.. ermm.. cool... yes.. Awesome!!..." I love the fact that I could interact with LJ as the processes took place. Thank you LJ. Thank You.
