restnrileks is going to do a short post since i am already in Hari Raya Mood. Huhu. Well, i am still at the office (dah jadik macam padang jarak padang tekukur dah ofis ni..hehe), but i ll be off till 13 Oktober - Yabeda be duu..

First, Megat's ATC finally arrived last week. Syabas Megat. Awesome. Do enjoy ya : )



Last two weeks too i received unexpected packages - One from RaShell of Doodlage after winning that CDoodle entry, and another one from Chak of Foldees for voting that 70 cards. I must say, i am very much happy to receive the choice of my card - which is, of course, Kak Emila laa.. hehe. Quality wise (i mean the card) - excellent. For USD2, the card is really something - quite large and printed on quality paper.

Haha, i was laughing when i received two Hari Raya Cards from my students. Never thought i would see some doodlings done at the end of Ramadhan. Hmm, i thought they were already in Hari Raya Mood. hehe. One is a typical printed Raya Card but has some doodlings inside (left) and the other one is hand-made.hand-drawn Hari Raya Card. Thanks Nurin and Amy. I ve glued boths cards now in my Sketch-Doodlelado-Design 2008 Book. Huhu. To the rest of my strudents, thanks too for sending me your Hari Raya wishes and cards. Terima Kasih. Terima Kasih. Dont forget to come back with your tip-top of the world assignments. Am i spoiling your holidays? Haha.

Last but no least, I am wishing all muslim bloggers Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Oh! please click the card if its too small. Do have a great Eid Mubarak and please dont forget to post all events related after raya. Hehe. My boss has approved my off days to 13 October. Yahoo!

Yeah, i know, restnrileks has been lagging lately. The truth is, I am having too much fun just restnrileksing nowadays. :) And in doing so, i ve been lagging in posting my ATC as well, dropping Entrecard, updating blog, err.. in fact everything that goes with blogging sphere.. hehe. Speaking of 2nd ATC Swap,-themed independence, I believe everybody has done a great job. Clap!! Clap!! Congrats!! Check out the first ATC (here) and the one that lead to 2nd ATC swap (here). I am still waiting for Megat's works to arrive though... Megat ohhh megat mana ATCs..?? Happily, one from Brunei and two from Indonesia had successfully arrived safe and sound. While the 2nd ATC was in a midst of happening, one of my students too did some small works (ATC size) just for the sake of being happy ( I am sure on his part though) Yippie. Ohh, i almost forget, and here are Mango's. Pictures arent sharp enough (scanner wasnt working so i just took pics using point and shoot camera) Sorri ya manggo..

On other note, here are pics or rattan crafts (Produk kraf anyaman rotan datang lagi!! hehe) I ve been lagging posting pics of rattan crafts too. Below are some preliminary rattan coiling works. These are just basic works (sort of warming up for students.. tee hee) before going to more complicated and tedious works on basketry (coiling technic)


Bakul kraf rotan anyaman teknik lingkaran - oh! yang ini semua lebih sukar dan perlukan kesabaran.
Now, these however are more refined works, basketry of course with black and natural colours. Various baskets or bowls with slight variations on patterns. Coiling method is somewhat tedious and requires a great level of patience. Hence, no wonder the pricey tag that comes with it. Shall i say, the creme de la creme among rattan weaving methods.. hehe. We hope to make new forms by making it asymmetrical balance in the future, which i am sure will be interesting and errr, more tedious. But, that is the best part, the effect of seeing a new design / form is..rewarding Whohoa!! :)

Well, last two groups of pixs are just works of weekly projects to stir creativity among students. Throw some creative ideas without the formality of design process. See how the products will turn out.

On a second note, few things have gone by since my last post. Cdoodling contest! Yayy, i am waiting for my doodling rock after been chosen as personal favourite by RaShell of doodlage. Check out the final result here. 2nd ATC Swap is on its final stage- themed "Independence". I am waiting for a few more ATCs to arrive. They are on their way to restnrileks. So far, two have dropped out - Cecima and Blue, though i was hoping they could join. Next time ya!! Now, though 31 August has passed, i am extending the dateline so that all ATCs will be here. Once all the ATCs are here, i will post them accordingly. Right now, enjoy the preview ya - these are gorgeous and wonderful works that have finally made to restnrileks. Hip Hip.. Hurrah..

Opps, i almost forget. Here are my ATCs. Four of them. I dont know yet which will go to whom. Initially, these aren't what i had in mind, but since everybody is doing it the "independence" way, so i jump in too. Whoaho!! Just did the outline work last friday (as usual during our friday meeting) and end up colouring four of them today. :) I am focusing on the four main colours of the Malaysia flag (blue, yellow, red and white) as a series.
Anyway, here are the brief details :
1. Just happy kids celebrating Malaysia 51st independent day.
2. Just an idea of 51 years of colorful Malaysia.
3. Oh! please save her (Malaysia) on her 51st anniversary.
4. Straight forward idea. hehe.
