Phew! Finally, i made it. Done my 40minutes of running. I was puffing, huffing and puffing. It was good to be able to run again. Well, at 30minutes, i was already covering 6km. Then i just slowed down my pace, slower than those makciks running berlari2 anak antara bukit safar dan marwah. Finally, a 7km of 43minutes. Nothing to be proud of if comparing to those hardcore aka passionate runners. Anyway, i ll edit this live blogging later. Enjoy
-------------------------Okay, what you are reading now is the edited version, or should i say the extended version of my previous live blogging entry. : )
Since, few were asking how to make Live Blogging, I decide to write a tutorial on how to do one. This live blogging tutorial, however, isnt the blogger mobile-on-the-go method. There are two things that you need in order to do live blogging.
1. A Flickr account (yes, the posting will be in sync with your flickr account)
2. Any mms enabled phone with a camera. (An entry level camera phone will do)
Anyway, i like to credit and say thank you to Tengku Aizat for his BM tutorial. I am just going to edit and write it up in english and make this as easy as possible.
1. Register a flickr account. Once registered, go to http://www.flickr.com/blogs.gne
You can also reach manually from you>your account>extending flicker - landing on "add a blog"
2. Choose "Set Up Your Blog."
3. Next, Choose your blogging platform from the drop down menu : Blogger or Moveable or Typepad or Word Press for instance.
4. Next, you ll be asked to key in these three areas.
Api endpoint, username and password
-Replace with your own blog name, for instance
api endpoint: [ http://www.restnrileks.com/xmlrpc.php ]
-Key in your blogger or blogging platform username and password in the "Username" and "Password" forms.
I am doing this for blogger user platform, and if you find error, you can see Tengku Aizat's tutorial especially on the wordpress platform.
At the end, you ll be given a new email account. You can check your new email account
by choosing you>your account>email
Two things that you should aware :
1. Your flickr upload email - which may look something like this email@example.com
2. Your blog upload email - firstname.lastname@example.org
Take note of the blog upload email. The difference is the "2blog". This is the address that you want to use when making mms aka Live blogging.
You can choose your layout live blogging post by you>your account>extending flickr> choose edit your blog>layout
So, walla, done!! Aint that hard. So now, you can use any camera phone with mms enabled for live blogging. Dont have one? Maybe you can ask someone to lend you a phone in a spur of awesome moment. WHOAHO!!
Basicall, just choose mms and type in email@example.com (of course you should be using your own address instead of this one. tee hee) . Please check with your mobile operator for charge and file size restriction on mms. For instance, Digi postpaid charges rm0.50 (with a max of 100kb if i am not mistaken) for a digi mobile to send to an email address. I had tried on both Digi and Maxis. Both Worked flawlessly. Not sure about Celcom Though. I heard that there was a problem with additional Celcom promo texts on your post.
Do not worry about the size, since flickr will automatically resize your pix. Sent mms will come out in your flickr account plus the wording too, so basically, you have a bit of story in your flickr pictures. To kill two bird with one stand heh : )
N82 using a 2MP shot option.
So, what are you waiting for guys? Jump in. Lol. Create a flickr account and make use that camera phone of yours. AHa. Live blogging will come in handy when you are away, and suddenly find something interesting enough to share with your readers. Now your post entry is just a click away. Strike a post will ya. I am looking forward for your first live blogging. :D
First three commentators will be given a linky love.
